The Tragedy of Odette: In this contemporary spin on Hamlet’s Ophelia, an orphaned girl is found dead. As neighbors try to piece clues together, we meet a blossoming teen torn between loyalties to her volatile family and her childhood love—labeled “insane” when she dares dream of a life for herself.
The Curator: In the vein of Children of Men and Raiders of the Lost Ark, after the digital collapse, a lonely woman is one of the few gifted with the ability to recall the history of objects simply by touch. As she tries to salvage the record of human civilization, she stumbles upon a larger conspiracy of horror.
The Coyote: Kubo and The Two Strings and Beasts of the Southern Wild influence this fairytale of Mexican immigration at the U.S. Border. Abandoned and left to die in the desert, a young girl must play hide-and-seek against an all-seeing witch hiding behind a badge.
