Best laid plans, man, best laid plans…

So, in preparation for the Sundance Institute’s Episodic TV Lab deadline February 10th, I have been spending the deep freeze evenings revising my King Lear adaptation project–repackaging my limited-series anthology collection and brushing-up a pilot… Oh, as for that original spec of my #ZeroDraft30 days, Ronja Who’s-Her-Name…? March will be her season of revisions…

Here I was, ready to turn to 2016 and my three-part spec collection: Ronja of the North as a study of a woman’s life at its close; an upcoming scifi spec, The Curator, focusing on a young woman-mid life, tasked with starting over… and The Coyote, a new fantasy adaptation project centered around a young girl.

Hhhmmm…

Well, then, came Thuc Nguyen and her Bitch List honor for Reach Out, Grab Hold, and Scream–by Bacchae adapation that consumed so much of last spring and summer.

King Lear can’t wait, nor can the rest of my ladies, but it was a nice moment to pause and reflect on a hectic year–unimaginable without the support of my dear circle of writer friends (many of whom were honored as well).

Reach Out needs polishing, and thanks to BL and today’s Huffington Post plug, it’s been a good start to the day.

But, back to tasks at hand. Don, Abbie, and the screaming hordes will have to wait their turn.
